Despite moving the Grant Skinner Memorial fixture from March to more favourable weather conditions in June, we played much of the round in mist and/or persistent drizzle/rain. However, all present agreed that course conditions, with much better greens at this time of the year, proved a popular decision, and we hope to find a diary space in June 2017.
Regrettably the shortened format of 18 holes did nothing to improve the Martlets’ results against CBGC and we once again went down against hardcore match players, losing 4 ½ to 1 ½ points. We look forward to 2017 and a step towards balancing the score-line!
