On a difficult wicket Martlets wickets fell early and quickly (5 for 35). A mid order stand between Paul Walker and Will Rydon shored up the innings albeit that 142 all out seemed a bit weak.

The Martlets bowled tidily and had Downside Wanderers all out for 137. A tight opening spell from Mark Chapple, 3 – 43 for Dan smith and an outstanding spell of 5 – 59 from 15 overs from ??? saw the Martlets through to a narrow and exciting victory .

A fun day was had by all.
