Horsham elected to bowl first on what looked like a very good wicket. Adam Davies, batting at 3, scored a superb 129. He was very well supported by Phil Ellwood who scored 85. The Martlets declared on 236 due to 45 mins being lost to rain. Horsham chased the total down largely thanks to the clubs overseas, New Zealander Matt Henry, who scored a magnificent 197 not out. The next highest score was 34. Henry Gane was the pick of the bowlers with 4-45.
