The Martlets won the toss on a warm,dry and sunny day. As the school wanted to bat this was agreed on the basis we were the guests.

Lancing declared on 221 for 5. Everyone who wanted a bowl had a few overs and Shaun Ashfield had the best figures 3 for 39 off 9.

We finished just short on 204 for 8 with everyone chipping in but no big score.
