“After a drubbing from the 1st XI last year St.Bede’s fielded a composite side that made for a more equal match. The game was played in a fine, enjoyable competitive atmosphere. Batting first the Martlets compiled a competitive target of 188 all out with notable contributions from Michael Murray and Daniel Smith, both scoring 54.
Honours looked even with the school on 98 – 4 but unfortunately that was the last success and St. Bede’s cruised home with an over to spare and 6 wickets in hand.”
