Martlets won by 5 wickets.
An exciting match, played on the usual supreme batting wicket that is the Castle strip. The Martlets bowlers toiled manfully and a relatively generous declaration gave them a real chance of chasing down the total. This they duly did thanks so a solid 54 from St George’s College captain Will Grant, a splendid unbeaten 65 from candidate, Dabin and a match winning 42 from 19 balls from Mike Harrison. The match was secured with 5 balls to spare and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all.
