Very pleased to report that we had a good win yesterday in the above fixture. The opposition requested a 50 overs per side match to which we agreed. Martlets won the toss and elected to bat and unbelievably, the sun shone for most of the day! This match is played in their Cricket Week and they had two games washed out on Tuesday and Wednesday but played against a touring side from Essex on Monday. It rained for most of the day for this game and consequently the square got pretty wet. This resulted in a spicy track yesteday with the ball lifting dramatically off a length!
