The Martlets won the toss and elected to bat. Will Grant scored a solid 35 before Mike Murray (83) and Dave Brooks (42) put on almost a hundred with only two wickets down at lunch. Some quick run scoring after lunch from the middle to lower order set a total of 294-9 and a generous declaration off 52 overs just after half time. In response Nick Kent strained his side in the opening over so Josh Presland had to bowl 18 overs bowling superbly well for 3-99. With Mark Tomsett they tried to stem the flow of runs but Will House’s century was really the difference, alhough had he been caught on 91 it could have been a different story as late wickets fell. A good game with almost 60 runs scored and 16 wickets falling.
